Chelsea are through to the fourth round of this season's Carabao Cup with a hard fought 2-1 victory over League One side Lincoln City.
The hosts almost took the lead very early on in Lincoln, with a long throw-in causing havoc for the Blues and the ball ending up at the feet of Lewis Montsma, who hit the post. The first-half was incredibly slow from a Chelsea perspective and it was not even a surprise when the League One side took the lead on 42 minutes.
A risky Enzo Fernandez pass towards Trevoh Chalobah was dispossessed and Rob Street finished excellently to put the Imps ahead. But whatever Enzo Maresca said to his Chelsea players at the half-time break clearly worked, with the visitors coming out and scoring two quickfire goals to go ahead in the tie.
Tyrique George levelled the match with a thunderous strike from around 30 yards, before he then assisted Facundo Buonanotte, who poked in his first goal for the club.
Below, Bobby Vincent rates the Blues players based on their performance in Lincolnshire.
Filip Jorgensen - 3
His punching was awful. He came out on numerous occasions looking to dominate his box but wasn't able to do that and it led to major uncertainty.
Malo Gusto - 5
Shaky start. Close to giving away a penalty early on after slipping inside the box. Attacking-wise, Gusto was constantly looking to break behind the Lincoln defenders. Not a great showing from the Frenchman, but he improved in the second period.
Wesley Fofana - 6
Gets clattered by his own goalkeeper early on but recovered. Took him a while to get going in the match but he eventually found comfort.
Trevoh Chalobah - 4
Looked as if he almost shirked the challenge that led to Street's goal. Yes, it was a poor pass from Fernandez but Chalobah should have done more with the bounce. He may, though, have been wary that any contact could have led to a sending off.
Jorrel Hato - 6
Out of all the Chelsea players, and it was a low bar, Hato did well. Looked assured on the ball and seemingly did well in duels.
Andrey Santos - 6
Too deep so he was not able to influence the match in forward positions. Saying that, he was neat and tidy in possession as you would expect. Certainly not the worst one out there in blue.
Enzo Fernandez - 4
Fine pass to Jamie Gittens around 20 minutes in and it could quite easily have turned into an assist for Fernandez. He lets himself down, though, when he plays an overly risky pass towards Chalobah just before the break and that gifted Lincoln the advantage. Looks out of sorts at the moment.
Jamie Gittens - 5
Started on the right wing for this one. A good run to the far post about 20 minutes in almost led to his first goal for the club. Some bright moments but just not in the game enough unfortunately.
Facundo Buonanotte - 8
Great for him to get his first goal for the club in his second start. A nice finish after some neat link-up play with George. He also passed it well and took up some clever positions between the lines. Should have scored another later in the half.
Alejandro Garnacho - 6
First start for the Blues. Carried the ball well at times and knows how to draw a foul. He clearly has plenty more to offer, but he was certainly bright. Subbed off before the hour.
Tyrique George - 8
In the first-half, you could have made a real case for George to come off. Or at least move him to his natural position. In the second period, however, he made his mark immediately with a fantastic strike from long distance. George then played a huge part in Buonanotte's goal to put the Blues ahead.
Estevao Willian (on for Garnacho 59') - 6
Not able to get involved as much as he would have liked on the right-hand side after coming on for the final 30-or-so minutes.
Shim Mheuka (on for George 67') - 7
Great to see some minutes for the 17-year-old. A physical specimen considering his age and did well in aerial duels.
Pedro Neto (on for Gittens 67') - 7
Bright on the right wing. A one-two with Marc Cucurella immediately after coming on almost gave Chelsea a third of the night. Does really well to set Buonanotte up for a glorious one-on-one opportunity.
Marc Cucurella (on for Fernandez 67') - 7
Came on and played in midfield. And, in typical Cucurella fashion, his first involvement was going into a meaty 50-50. Confident and assured performance from the experienced Spaniard, as you would expect.
Reggie Walsh (on for Buonanotte 90') - N/A
Had about 10 seconds on the pitch.
