According to information released by the Petroleum Ministry last Monday, the government will provide additional free LPG connections to 2.5 million poor women under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Documents Required to Apply

To apply for the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, you must have the following documents:

Aadhaar Card (e-KYC) of the female beneficiary

BPL Ration Card/Poverty Line Certificate

Bank Passbook/Account Number

Passport-Size Photograph

Residence Proof (Ration Card/Voter ID, etc.)

How to Apply?

You can apply for the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2.0 online or offline. To apply, follow the steps below.

How to Apply Online?

To apply online, first visit the official website of your LPG company (e.g., Indane).

After that, click on the New Ujjwala Yojana 2.0 option.

An application form will open. Fill in your required details and upload the required documents.

Then click on Submit. After submitting the form, download it and submit copies of all documents to the nearest gas dealer.

A free gas stove and cylinder will be installed at your home within 10-15 days.

How to Apply Offline

To apply offline, first visit your gas agency and obtain the Ujjwala Yojana application form.

Follow this form by filling it in with your name, address, Aadhaar card number, other family members' information, bank account number, and BPL card/ration card number.

Then submit this form to the nearest gas agency.

Following this, document verification will take place, and a free LPG connection will be provided to your home.
