This scheme will only benefit women who are associated with a Jeevika Self-Help Group (SHG). The annual income of the beneficiary woman or her husband must not be within the income tax bracket, i.e., less than ₹5 lakh.
Only one woman from each family can benefit from this scheme. This financial assistance will be provided to 7.5 million women in Bihar to enable them to start a career of their choice. ₹10,000 will be provided in the first installment.
An amount of up to ₹2 lakh is proposed under this scheme, which will be disbursed in phases. This scheme will not only make women financially strong but will also elevate their role in society.
