Scholarship: The Yogi Adityanath government has taken a significant decision. This year, students in Uttar Pradesh will receive scholarships ahead of schedule. On September 24th, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will release scholarship funds to over 400,000 students in the state. In previous years, scholarships were allocated to students in February-March under Yogi Adityanath's government, but this year, scholarships are being issued six months in advance.
Goal to Provide Scholarships to 70 Lakh Students in 2025
In 2024, the Uttar Pradesh government provided scholarships to approximately 5.9 million students from Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, and Scheduled Tribes. This number is expected to increase to over 70 lakh in 2025. In this connection, scholarships are to be distributed to 400,000 students on September 26th.
Yogi Government's Diwali Gift
Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Backward Classes Welfare and Disabled Empowerment, Narendra Kashyap, stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a historic change has been made in the scholarship distribution system. He said that in previous years, the state government used to provide scholarships to students in February-March, but now they are being distributed during Navratri and September. He described this as the Yogi government's Diwali gift to students.
