Mumbai Police recently issued a lookout notice against Shilpa Shetty and her husband, Raj Kundra, in the Rs 60 crore scam case.
Though neither Shilpa Shetty nor Raj Kundra has officially addressed the matter, Raj recently appeared before the media and broke down in tears while speaking about his situation. He was present to promote his debut Punjabi film Mehar, where he drew parallels between his personal struggles and the devastating Punjab floods, expressing his deep concern over the crisis.

Raj was wearing a turban and with folded hands, he said, “Life mein main bahot baar gira hoon, toota hoon but khatam nahi hua... Punjab bhi aisa hi hai, hum girenge, tootenge.. par khatam nahi honge.. sabko pyaar dene ke liya dhanyawaad (In life, I have fallen many times, I have been broken, but I was never defeated… Punjab is the same...we may fall, we may break, but we will never be finished).”

Another user commented, “Everytime a scam comes up he changes his look for distraction. It's hilarious if they think it's going to whitewash their image. Wearing the pagdi is really low though!”

One user reacted, “I don’t know how anyone can take this guy seriously. Didn’t he used to wear a robot mask (or something like that)? Now this. It reminds me of Johnny Lever in a sardar getup. If I were shilpa I would be humiliated to be seen with him.”
Another user reacted, “It's honestly so disgusting using a disaster which has ruined the lives of lakhs to compare with own's crimes. Pathetic.”

Mehar, directed by Rakesh Mehta, features Raj Kundra and Geeta Basra in the lead roles. The film was released in theatres on September 5, and its opening day collections were donated to support the victims of the Punjab floods.
