YRF To Earn A Massive Rs 290 Cr In Profit As Saiyaara Hits Rs 500 Cr Worldwide Box Office

The romantic musical drama Saiyaara directed by Mohit Suri and starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda has achieved yet another box office milestone hitting Rs 500 crore at the worldwide box office.

In India, the film has already made over Rs 300 crore and is now heading towards Rs 350 crore finish before War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr hits the screens.

Saiyaara To Earn Rs 290 Crore Box Office Profit

With Rs 500 crore global biz, Saiyaara is now expected to end its lifetime run in Rs 550 crore range and as per a report in Pinkvilla, production house Yash Raj Films aim to earn an insane box office profit of Rs 290 crore.

Made on a reported budget of Rs 60 crore, Saiyaara has earned a theatrical share of Rs 225 crore.

Additionally, due to its massive theatrical run, Saiyaara’s digital revenue almost doubled earning Rs 45 crore from Rs 25 crore. And satellite rights from Rs 8 crore to Rs 15 crore.

Considering the songs have turned out to be chartbusters, especially the title track, YRF is expected to earn Rs 50 crore from the music revenue.

This takes the total profit to Rs 290 crore range which is an unprecedented 483 percent return on investment.

It is already the top grossing love story in Indian cinema (inflation unadjusted) and the biggest blockbuster for a film featuring newcomers.

It is also currently the third biggest grosser for Yash Raj Films after Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan (Rs 543.05 crore)and Salman Khan starrer Tiger Zinda Hai (Rs 339.16 crore).

Bollywood Films With Rs 250 Crore Plus Profit

Besides Saiyaara, the other Hindi films to earn over Rs 250 crore profit include Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Pathaan, Aamir Khan’s Dangal, Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2.
