Hajipur (Bihar) [India], October 28 (ANI): Union Minister Nityanand Rai slammed Mahagathbandhan CM face candidate, Tejashwi Yadav, and asked how a person who is "corrupt" can free Bihar from corruption?"
The Assembly elections in Bihar are being held in two phases on November 6 and November 11. Counting of Votes will take place on November 14.
"Today the 'ghamandiya' alliance has launched its manifesto. Tejashwi Yadav says, 'we will free Bihar from corruption'. The person who is himself corrupt and has been convicted of various scams, how can he say that he will free Bihar from corruption?," Rai told ANI, reacting strongly to the poll manifesto released by the Mahagahtbandan for the assembly poll
The Union Minister said that there were "many" scams, crimes, and incidents of hatred witnessed during the 15 years of 'jungle raj', a reference to the RJD tenure.
" Bihar has always lagged behind the development under the RJD government..You are just misleading the people of Bihar...," he said, referring to Tejashwi Yadav.
Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday claimed that the BJP will not make Nitish Kumar the Chief Minister after the Assembly elections.
As Mahagathbandhan released its manifesto titled 'Bihar Ka Tejashwi Pran,' Tejashwi Yadav took a jibe at the NDA for not declaring its Chief Ministerial face, calling CM Nitish Kumar a "puppet" in the alliance.
Addressing the press conference in Patna, he said, "Nitish Kumar is like a puppet in NDA. The BJP is just using the face of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has already confirmed that Nitish Kumar will not become the CM of Bihar. He said that the MLAs will decide the CM for Bihar. BJP will not make Nitish Kumar the Chief Minister after the elections." (ANI)
