With India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh fighting for the top two spots in the final, fans have witnessed plenty of drama both on and off the field. Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan lit up the Super Four clash against India with a stylish knock of 58 runs from 45 balls, which included five fours and three sixes. His milestone moment came in style when he rocked back to pull a short delivery from Axar Patel over midwicket for six, bringing up his fifty. Farhan then celebrated by pretending to fire shots with his bat like a gun, drawing loud cheers from the crowd. Meanwhile, there has also been a controversy around the gesture as many found it in bad taste following the recent geopolitical issues in the aftermath of Pahalgarm terror attack.

Abhishek Sharma’s ‘L’ gesture

India’s young opener Abhishek Sharma matched the energy with his explosive innings of 74 off 39 balls against Pakistan. His knock, decorated with six fours and five sixes, earned plenty of praise from teammates and fans alike. After bringing up his half-century with a boundary off Saim Ayub, Abhishek first raised his bat, blew a flying kiss towards the stands, and then displayed a hand gesture forming the letter ‘L’. Later, he explained to Suryakumar Yadav that the gesture stood for ‘Love’, dedicated to the Indian supporters.

Aamir Kaleem’s helmet-off bow

Oman’s veteran all-rounder Aamir Kaleem also delivered a memorable celebration during the group stage match against India. After scoring a brilliant 64 off 46 balls, Kaleem removed his helmet, raised his bat, and soaked in the applause from the crowd. He then bowed down to the ground in gratitude, a humble yet powerful gesture that reflected both his joy and respect for the occasion.

Wanindu Hasaranga’s Neymar Jr tribute

Sri Lanka’s star spinner Wanindu Hasaranga showcased his flair after dismissing Bangladesh opener Saif Hassan, who was batting on 61, during a Super Four clash. After Dunith Wellalage completed the catch, Hasaranga imitated his favourite footballer Neymar Jr’s iconic celebration and followed it by punching the air in delight.

Jatinder Singh’s thigh-five

Oman captain Jatinder Singh brought out his trademark thigh-five gesture after taking a brilliant catch to dismiss India’s Shivam Dube in the group stage. Dube had attempted a big shot off Aamir Kaleem, only for the ball to sky high towards midwicket. Jatinder sprinted back, held on to a tough chance, and immediately celebrated with the thigh-five, much to the delight of his teammates.
