The iconic on-screen couple is reuniting in a new K-drama, bringing fantasy, romance, and comedy together in one whimsical story. Titled Genie, Make a Wish, the series will officially premiere on October 3, 2025, just in time for Korea’s Chuseok holiday. Starring Kim Woo-bin and Suzy, the series marks the long-awaited reunion of the popular duo, nearly a decade after their last appearance together in Uncontrollably Fond (2016). This time, they're stepping into a world of ancient magic and modern-day mayhem.

Genie, Make a Wish first look out

In Genie, Make a Wish, Suzy plays Ka-young, a cold and emotionally distant woman who lives under the strict care of her grandmother. Her tightly controlled world changes when she discovers a mysterious lamp and unknowingly awakens Genie, played by Kim Woo-bin. But this is no ordinary wish-granter. Genie is actually Iblis, better known in myth as Satan, who has been asleep for 1,000 years and now aims to prove that humans can’t resist corruption.

The fantasy romantic comedy is directed by Lee Byeong-heon, known for the blockbuster Extreme Job, and written by Kim Eun-sook, the acclaimed writer behind The Glory, Goblin, and Mr. Sunshine. With such a powerhouse team behind the scenes, the show is expected to deliver both humor and depth. We can't keep calm!

Genie’s return to the modern world causes chaos as he tries to understand today’s technology, culture, and morality. His mischievous magic quickly disrupts Ka-young’s life, setting off a whirlwind of events neither of them could have predicted.
