The National Testing Agency ( NTA) will conduct the UGC-NET December 2025 examination from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026. The exam will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode across various centres in the country. Candidates can apply through the online application facility available at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The agency will conduct exams for 85 subejects in a Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
The last date to submit the application form and pay the examination fee is November 7, 2025, by 11:50 pm. The intimation slip regarding the exam city will be issued 10 days prior to the examination on the official website.

The examination will consist of two papers, to be conducted over a duration of 180 minutes. No break will be allowed between the two papers.
