Ingredients for making Modak
Milk powder – 1 cup
Cocoa powder – 2 tbsp
Condensed milk – ½ cup
Melted chocolate – ¼ cup
Ghee – 1 tbsp
Vanilla essence – ½ tsp
For stuffing
Mawa (khoya) – ½ cup
Powdered sugar – 2 tbsp
Chopped dry fruits – 2 tbsp (cashews, almonds, pistachios)
Cardamom powder – ¼ tsp
Method
To make Modak, you have to prepare the stuffing first. For this, put some ghee in a pan and fry the mawa lightly till it turns light golden. When it is fried, add very finely ground sugar, dry fruits, and cardamom powder to it. Mix everything well and then turn off the gas.
Now keep it aside to cool down because the stuffing is always filled after cooling it. When the stuffing is ready, heat ghee in a pan again, and add condensed milk, milk powder, and cocoa powder to it. Now mix it while stirring continuously.
Finally, add chocolate to it and mix well. Now, just let the mixture cool down a bit so that it becomes suitable for filling in the mold. Finally, start preparing the modak. For this, grease the modak mold with ghee.

Now take some chocolate mixture and fill it into the mold, and make a small hole in the middle. Put mawa stuffing in this hole, and then put chocolate mixture on top and close it. Keep it in the fridge for some time, so that it sets well. Your chocolate modak is ready.
