The tremendous success of the film 'Saiyara' in the year 2025 has surprised everyone. There is neither a big hero nor a top heroine in this film. Ahan Pandey has made his debut with 'Saiyara', while Anit Padda has previously appeared in some small roles. But 'Saiyara' has made both of them top stars. Varun Badola has also worked in this film. Recently, the actor said that if Shah Rukh Khan had been in 'Saiyara' instead of Ahan Pandey, the film would have flopped at the box office.

Varun Badola said in an interview that 'Saiyara' would not have been as successful if Shah Rukh Khan had been in the film instead of Ahan Pandey. Varun believes that Shah Rukh's presence would have overshadowed the film, and the story of the film would have been left behind. Varun Badola strongly disagreed with Nayandeep Rakshit's podcast that the success of 'Saiyara' proves that stars are no longer needed for a hit film.
Put Shah Rukh in it, and the film will flop.
He also said that if Ahaan Pandey was in Jawaan instead of Shah Rukh Khan, the film would have flopped. The actor said, 'People are saying that this film has proved that now we do not need stars. This is not true. Now, if you take Ahaan Pandey and put him in Jawaan, the film will flop. Put Shahrukh in Saiyaara, Saiyaara will flop. Shahrukh will become too big for this film, and Ahaan does not have the personality to carry Jawaan.'
The right talent needs to get the right story.
During the conversation, he was also asked what he thinks about the direction Ahaan's career will go. To this, Varun refused to answer and said that it would all depend on his choice. He also talked about nepotism and the growing trend of content-driven cinema. Varun believes that completely rejecting the role of stars makes things very simple. He said, 'The matter is to match the right talent with the right story.'

'Saiyaara' has earned more than 500 crores.
'Saiyaara', directed by Mohit Suri, proved to be a blockbuster. The film has broken records and collected more than Rs 500 crore worldwide and has become the highest-grossing Indian romantic film of all time. The story of the film is about a struggling musician, Krish Kapoor, who meets an emerging journalist, Vaani Batra. As they work together, both of them fall in love with each other. In this movie, Varun Badola has played the role of Ahaan Pandey's father.
