A viral video has emerged showing a heated confrontation between the son of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) and a traffic constable in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon near a crossroads in the Sasni police station area after the officer asked the young man to move his vehicle, which was causing a traffic jam.

The altercation began when a Mahindra Scorpio (UP-81 B2324) with a BJP flag and "Vidhayak" (MLA) written on it was parked on the roadside around 3 PM, obstructing traffic. When traffic constable SP Singh instructed the occupant to move the vehicle, the young man, later identified as Chaudhary Tapesh—son of BJP MLC Rishipal Singh from Aligarh—reportedly responded aggressively, saying, "Move aside, get out of here."

You're bringing shame to your father's name. I am twice as educated as you. I know how to speak properly."

Hathras ASP Ashok Kumar Singh confirmed that the video has come to their notice and an investigation is underway. Authorities have stated that appropriate action will be taken based on the findings. The incident has sparked criticism over VIP culture and misuse of political influence, with social media users condemning the behaviour of the MLC’s son.
