Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A man killed his wife by slashing her throat at her sister’s place following an argument between them on Monday. The woman had gone to her parents’ house as her husband had been harassing her.
She had returned from there and was staying at her sister’s place. As per reports, the accused reached there and had an argument with her, after which he killed her. The accused was on the run till the filing of the report.
Hira Nagar police station in charge PL Sharma informed the Free Press that the deceased was identified as Deepu Dewda, 28, a resident of Sukhliya area of the city. Her husband Pradeep Dewda reportedly killed her following an argument between them. Ongoing investigation revealed that Deepu got married to Pradeep five years ago.
She was being harassed by her husband for a few days due to which she was staying with her parents in Harda. Pradeep wanted to bring her home but she had refused.

Pradeep reached there and asked her to return home but she again refused. After that, Pradeep allegedly started an argument and when the altercation escalated, he brought a knife from the kitchen and slit her throat. Due to excessive bleeding, she fell unconscious and later died during treatment in a city hospital.
Sharma further said that Pradeep managed to flee from the spot soon after the incident. A team has been constituted to search for him. It is said that Deepu had a love marriage with Pradeep five years ago. She is survived by her three-year-old baby.
