Texas Super Kings' opener Saiteja Mukkamalla caused a blunder on the field during the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 match against MI New York at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas. In a video surfaced on social media, Mukkamalla had conceded a boundary while throwing the ball back to the bowler.

The ball came at a steady pace to Mukkamalla and he misfielded it to let the ball go between his legs. Although the 21-year-old had prevented it from going to the boundary, the ball crossed the fence after slipping off his hands.

Faf du Plessis' century trumps Kiern Pollard's 39-ball 70 as TSK reach semi-final
Meanwhile, Faf du Plessis' belted 103 off 53 deliveries in the match against MI New York, laced with five fours and nine sixes. Mukkamalla, who had caused a misfield, chipped in with a cameo of 25 off 18 deliveries, while Marcus Stoinis also made 25. Donovan Fereira was equally outstanding, clobbering 53 only off 20 balls to lift their side to 223/4 in 20 overs.
The likes of Quinton de Kock (35) and Michael Bracewell (25) got starts but failed to carry on. Pollard was cleaned up by Nandre Burger for 70 in the 19th over, thereby nailing the final nail in the coffin. Akeal Hosein starred for the Super Kings with figures of 4-1-15-3.
