Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): Bageshwar Dham’s Dhirendra Krishna Shastri has strongly condemned the recent incident in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, where a group of people allegedly assaulted a religious storyteller and cut his hair.
Speaking during his spiritual gathering in Maharashtra, he said the attack was carried out in the name of caste and criticised politicians for using such incidents to gain political mileage.
He warned that caste-based politics is dangerous for the country and could lead to its downfall. “If we want to make India a world leader - like New Zealand, Australia, or America - we must rise above caste and embrace nationalism instead of casteism,” Baba Bageshwar said.
He added that no one should be humiliated - "no one’s head should be shaved, and no one’s hair should be cut." He strongly condemned the act and said such behaviour is unacceptable, no matter who is responsible.

However, he also expressed concern about people changing their caste identity to preach religious stories. "One should not use a false caste identity to speak the word of God. That is disrespectful to both religion and God," he said.
In his message to the nation, Baba Bageshwar said, “Say goodbye to caste divisions; we are all Hindu brothers.” He called for unity among Hindus and said that those who love Bageshwar Dham, Hindutva, Lord Ram, Krishna, and the Indian flag are true followers of Sanatan Dharma.
Speaking from Chhatarpur, he also said that politics is being played in the name of language, and people are being harassed. “Hindus must rise above regionalism and stand united,” he urged.
