AI-powered app building platform provider Rocket has raised $15 Mn (around INR 132 Cr) in its seed funding round led by Salesforce Ventures and Accel. The round also saw participation from Together Fund.
The Surat-based startup plans to deploy the capital to strengthen its R&D, accelerate product development, and expand its global footprint by inaugurating its new office in California.
Founded in 2021 by Vishal Virani, Rahul Shingala, and Deepak Dhanak, Rocket provides an AI-powered app-building platform that enables users to build apps, websites, dashboards, and internal tools in minutes by giving instructions in natural language. It claims to offer a “one prompt, whole app” solution.
In a statement, Rocket said it commenced commercial operations four months ago. Within this period, it claims to have served more than 4 Lakh customers across more than 180 countries. The platform, which is currently in beta stage, works on a subscription-based model, with plans ranging from free to $100 per month.
“The new funding will help fuel our vision to eliminate the technical barriers that prevent great ideas from becoming a reality. It will help us continue to build our product capabilities, especially as we expand into new markets and use our new office in Palo Alto as a gateway to Silicon Valley’s enterprise ecosystem,” said Rocket cofounder and chief operating officer Dhanak.
Currently, Rocket has a team of 60 employees across Surat and Palo Alto, and is aiming to double its engineering and product team in India over the next 12-15 months.
The funding comes at a time when AI adoption is rising rapidly in the country and the world. India’s AI market is projected to cross the $17 Bn mark by 2027. As a result, Indian startups are building AI-powered solutions not only for the local market but also the global market.
Investors, too, are betting big on AI startups. As per a survey by Inc42, more than half of the 80+ investors were looking to infuse funds in early stage AI startups in the second half of 2025.
Just yesterday, BFSI sector-focussed AI startup OnFinance AI raised $4.2 Mn (about INR 37 Cr)in its pre-Series A round led by Peak XV’s Surge.
