THE IB ACIO Exam 2025 will be held from 16 to 18 September across the country, in which a total of 3,717 posts will be recruited. Candidates will have to go through three stages, only after which the final selection will be done.

If you are dreaming of a job in the Intelligence Bureau (IB), then a big opportunity is ahead for you. Preparations for the IB ACIO Executive Exam 2025 have now reached their final stage. This exam is considered to be one of the toughest and top intelligence exams in the country. This time, this exam is being conducted to fill a total of 3,717 Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) posts.

According to the schedule released by the ministry, the Tier-1 exam will be conducted from 16 to 18 September 2025 at various centers across the country. Candidates who will be selected in Tier-1 will have to go through Tier-2 and Tier-3 rounds. The final selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of all three stages.

This is how the selection will be done

Tier-1 Exam - It will be objective type (MCQ) based, in which a total of 100 questions will be asked. It will have questions from current affairs, general studies, numerical ability, reasoning and English.

Tier-2 Exam – This will be a descriptive test in which the writing and comprehension ability of the candidates will be tested.

Tier-3 Interview – In this stage the candidate's personality, communication skills and eligibility for the post will be evaluated.

Admit card issued

The admit card for Tier-1 exam has been released on 13 September 2025. Candidates can download it from the official website of the ministry, mha.gov.in. For this, one has to go to the portal and click on the link "Online Examination Call Letter for ACIO Grade II/Executive" and login by entering the user ID and password.

These are the important things

  • It is mandatory to carry printed admit card and government photo ID to the examination centre.
  • Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices and other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited.
  • Candidates must reach the centre at least 30 minutes before the start of the exam.
  • It is important to follow the rules during the verification process and maintain discipline in the examination hall.

How to prepare for the last minute

  • Now that only a few days are left for the exam, smart preparation is most important for the candidates.
  • Solve mock tests and previous year papers – This will give you an idea of the question pattern and time management.
  • Pay special attention to current affairs and general knowledge – especially the national and international events of the last 6-8 months.
  • Revise shortcut tricks of Maths and Reasoning to save time.
  • Practice descriptive writing – Only good writing skills in Tier 2 will help you reach the interview.
  • Maintain a healthy routine – get enough sleep and avoid stress.
