This edition presents a distinctive collaboration with El Lequio, Okinawa, featured on 50 Best Discovery and ranked #80 amongst Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2023.
Helming this takeover is Satoshi Sugiura, Bar Manager at El Lequio and one of Japan’s most dynamic mixologists. With a career spanning over a decade across Tokyo, Shanghai, and Okinawa, Sugiura is celebrated for his innovative “Ryukyu-inspired Nikkei-Latino” philosophy, a seamless fusion of Okinawan heritage & South American vibrancy that has placed El Lequio firmly on the global cocktail map.
Guests at this exclusive Loya Qissa can anticipate an exclusive menu of expressive pours, each meticulously crafted to transport them through the flavours and textures of Okinawa’s island soul reimagined through Latin influences. From inventive techniques to bold flavour pairings, this Qissa promises an evening of immersive narratives and boundary-pushing mixology set against Loya’s evocative backdrop of North Indian artistry and flavour.
Following this showcase at Loya, Taj Palace, New Delhi, this special edition of Qissa will travel to the Loya at The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai as well as the Loya at The Taj West End, Bengaluru, extending its spirited cultural dialogue across three iconic cities.
