A 13-year-old girl has tragically been found dead after emergency services were called to her home.

An outpouring of heartbroken tributes have come after teenager Nina Papierniok was found on Monday morning. Emergency crews rushed to her home in Preston following reports of a sudden death but sadly found the Year 8 pupil deceased. The young schoolgirl's friends and family have set up a fundraiser in her memory and to help support her loved ones.

A spokesperson for the force, in a statement to LancsLive, said: "We were called to Manor House Lane, Preston, at 7.04am on September 15 following reports of a sudden death. Emergency services have attended and tragically found a 13-year-old girl deceased.

"Our thoughts are with her loved ones at this extremely distressing time. The girl’s death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed onto HM Coroner in due course."

The GoFundMe page, set up following Nina's death, has already raised over £9,800 and is nearly at the £10,000 target.

A post on the page said: "13-year-old Nina, the beloved daughter of our friend Justyna, passed away suddenly in the United Kingdom. Justyna is a single mother, and during this unimaginably difficult time, she needs our support to cover the funeral costs and to say a dignified farewell to her daughter. If you can – please support the fundraiser or share it with others."

Ivan Catlow, headteacher at Nina's school Archbishop Temple Church of England High School, said the teen's death is "felt deeply across our entire school community".

He said: "It is with the deepest sadness that we learned the news of the passing of one of our Year 8 pupils, on Monday morning. The loss of a young life is felt deeply across our entire school community.

"In times like these, it is important that we support one another. We have a strong pastoral team and chaplaincy in place, supported by our local clergy, to help pupils and staff as they process this difficult news. Our thoughts and prayers remain firmly with everyone who has been affected by this tragedy."

Tributes have also poured in on social media with one of her former teachers saying: "I had the pleasure of teaching her in year 2 she was such a lovely girl. RIP Nina"

Another person said : "How very sad whole life ahead of her thoughts and prayers to her family and friends." A third person wrote: "Heartbreaking. Thinking of that beautiful girl and her family at this awful time."

Another tribute said: "Absolutely heartbreaking a parents worse nightmare thoughts are with ninas family at this tragic time xxx sleep tight princess xx"
