A four-year-old boy was tragically killed after he was struck by a bus while visiting his gran in hospital.

Heartbreaking tributes have poured in for little Zaahir Jan who was hit at Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother (QEQM) Hospital in Margate, Kent, at roughly 4pm on Thursday. The bus, a white single decker vehicle, was travelling near the entrance to the A&E department. Jan left the hospital on foot where the collision took place, before he was rushed back inside and sadly pronounced dead soon after. Jan, who was the youngest of five siblings, died only six days after his cousin's mum.

"I am so lost, he was my son, my most beautiful little Jan. I don’t know what to do I can’t believe you are gone from me. I can’t believe they couldn’t save you, I can’t believe this happened. I didn’t even get to tell you how much I love you.

Please if anyone can help us to make his burial as beautiful as he was please I will be so grateful. Everyone is devastated, but that word doesn’t feel like enough to explain how we are all feeling."
