Things were off to a promising start, as Sam remembered his date's favourite drink, ordering her a spicy margarita before she even arrived. However, their conversation turned more sour than spicy...

It all began with Mahan calling Sam out for his communication style, revealing he hadn't replied to his messages. The E4 reality star attempted to defend himself by saying they didn't need to text as they were meeting the next day. Things then went from bad to worse as Mahan appeared to lay into the star before storming out.

"Why would you save the chat for the date? We're trying to get to know each other," Mahan snapped. "That's why you have my number. That's why you have me on Instagram so we can talk and understand each other on a personal level.

"If you're not making any effort to understand me on a personal level, you're flaky. When I see someone that is flaky, my guard goes up. If I'm putting in the time and effort to be here and texting someone back, I would appreciate the same sort of effort."

Sam then confirmed he didn't feel there was a spark there at the moment as Mahan said she felt like he "wasn't keen to make any effort whatsoever".

"You're sat here now telling me that there's no spark after three weeks when I could have been on a date with someone else, so you've wasted my time.

"Personally, I don't think you're ready for a relationship and I don't think you're over your ex, sorry," she said. Sam then tried to say his peace, although Mahana wasn't having any of it.

"Sorry, I'm going to go," she said, before walking out of the bar. The two then shared a hug before departing as Sam confirmed he'd be "going to the gala alone" after planning to ask Mahana to go as a friend.

It can be assumed Mahana was referencing Sam's Made in Chelsea co-star ex, Yasmine Zweegers.

The pair, who met on the show went their separate ways in 2024. However, they appeared on the latest season on the E4 show together and appeared in awkward scenes when Yas brought her 'new beau' at the time, DJ Arman to a countryside getaway in the series.
