Fans ofNetflix's Interview with a Vampire have noticed a significant change in season 2, with one of their favourite characters being recast.
In the first series, Bailey Bass portrayed Claudia, a 14 year old girl transformed into a vampire by Lestat de Lioncourt, played by Sam Reid.
However, for the second series, Delainey Hayles has taken over the role. AMC explained to Deadline: "Bailey Bass is a talented actor who did a remarkable job bringing the character of Claudia to life in Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire.
"For a variety of reasons, Delainey Hayles will appear as Claudia in season two. We are grateful for Bailey's unforgettable performance in season one and wish her nothing but the best."

Bailey Bass also released a statement explaining her departure, attributing it to "a variety of unforeseen circumstances".
She wrote: "Due to a variety of unforeseen circumstances I'm unable to return to Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire for the second season.
"Playing Claudia has been a dream role and an incredible ride. I wish Delainey the best of luck in taking over. I cannot wait to watch.
"I'm extremely appreciative of AMC, the producers, Jacob, Sam, the crew and, of course, the wonderful fans."
The 22 year old American actress is also recognised for her role as Tsireya in Avatar: The Way of Water, and she reprised her role in the latest film, Avatar: Fire and Ash.

As for Delainey Hayles, she is a 26 year old British actress known for her stage portrayal of Lucy Pevensie in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
She posted behind-the-scenes photos from her stint on Interview with a Vampire via Instagram, prompting supporters to flood the comments section with their views on the recasting.
One wrote: "Ms. Hayles, I owe you a huge apology! I didn't watch two because of the recasting of Claudia. Well, I'm on the season finale and I was WRONG! OMG!".
"If you don't get an Emmy award, I'm going after people! You poured your heart and soul into your performances. Bravo! You killed it!".
Another commented: "You broke my heart over and over again as Claudia. You are a great talent. I hope you get all the recognition and success you deserve."
