Corrie's Jack P. Shepherd's ex Lauren Shippey 'left scratching her head' over grand wedding

WhenJack P. Shepherdarrived at Manchester Cathedral in an iconic red Mustang car, surrounded by a host of well knownCoronation Street stars, it held the same grandeur as that of a society wedding. And while crowds of onlookers gathered around the Cathedral in awe of the lavish wedding, it seems one person who was not impressed was his ex girlfriend and the mother of his two children.

According to reports, Lauren Shippey, who was allegedly not invited to the ceremony, has reportedly reacted to the actor's big day. And her pals have reportedly jokingly compared it to that of the Royal wedding.

Jack, 37, who has played David Platt on Coronation Street since the age of 12, married his fiancé Hanni Treweek last week. It comes after the touching moment Lucy Bronze consoles rumoured girlfriend and rival Ona Batlle.

After the ceremony, thew couple left the Cathedral and posed for pictures against the red Mustang car, while sporting dark sunglasses.

A source told The Sun: "Lauren can’t help but raise eyebrows about the whole thing, she has known Jack for a very long time and has two children with him, so she knows him very well."

They added: "The wedding is not what she or anyone really expected, and the whole pomp and grandeur has left people scratching their heads. Her friends have been mocking him for acting like royalty, and she can see why."

But despite the alleged comments being made about Jack's big day, Lauren has "well and truly moved on" and also shares a daughter with her partner Ben.

Jack's son Reuben was sat by his dad's side in the car wearing an identical suit and sunglasses, however, his daughter Nyla did appear to be present at either both the ceremony or reception, according to the Daily Mail.

Lauren and Jack were together since the soap star was 14 years old. But their relationship hit the rocks in 2010, after a one night standresulted in him fathering a son named Greyson, with sales executive Sammi Milewski.

At the time Lauren kicked him out of their home. Jack and Lauren managed to reconcile their differences and put the past behind her. And their reunion was sealed with an engagement.

Jack had bought Lauren a £3,000 engagement ring and made a public apology.

His apology read: "On Sunday, there were some articles printed about errors I have made in my private life. ver the years, I have enjoyed a successful career with Coronation Street, and with this, I have experienced privileges that have exceeded my own expectations."

He added: "The core ingredients to my success have come from the following areas; my family, ITV Granada, and specifically my girlfriend Lauren and daughter Nyla.I would like to apologise to my family, for all the hurt and pain I have caused them, to ITV Granada for letting them down, and especially to Lauren and Nyla, who are the most important people in my life."

He concluded his apology saying: "I now need to concentrate on what is really important, my family and my career, as I have abused my position as an employee, partner and father, and for that I am deeply sorry.'

After getting back together, they split once again in 2017 after 15 years.
