Ryan Kendall graced Dating Naked UK with his presence on September 5, though he might ring a bell for some viewers given his history with disrobing, reports the Daily Star. Hailing from Newcastle, Ryan is actually a Dreamboy, famed for his striptease acts, and leapt at the opportunity to join the cast when approached.
In an exclusive chat with Reach PLC's Screen Time Team, Ryan recounted how he ditched his corporate gig years ago to chase his dream of dancing. He eventually found himself on the Dreamboys tour, defying those who doubted him at school due to his ADHD diagnosis.
Now, Ryan aims to leverage his newfound visibility and stint on the show to "make an impact on the world" and inspire others to achieve greatness regardless of obstacles. He also highlighted: "There's a massive stigma around schools and having hidden disabilities as well."
Reflecting on his journey, Ryan proudly stated that he's transitioned from a "council estate kid to touring the world." Discussing the experience of stripping down on stage, he admitted: "Of course it's a bit daunting at first getting it all out, but it becomes this amazing thing."
Although he's no stranger to baring it all, appearing on Dating Naked UK presented a fresh challenge for the star, as he revealed they are "naked mostly all the time" with cameras capturing their every move. When asked about the most difficult aspect of the reality show, Ryan identified forming meaningful connections as the toughest part.
He elaborated: "I think because you've got so many options in the house that you don't actually know who to go for because I'm quite a sociable guy, I get on with everyone, but I can never tell who's there for just friendship and who's there for a relationship.
"That's the hardest thing for me, whether it's friendship or I can take it further.
"I think everyone's there for genuine reasons but it's who's playing for the cameras. I don't think anyone did to be fair they were a genuine cast but there's always that fear of who's playing a game or who's trying to build friendships rather than connections."
But will Ryan find love on the show? Fans will have to wait until next week to find out. Viewers will recall the star making a dramatic entrance by ziplining into Dom and Matt's date before being introduced to the rest of the housemates.

On the programme, Ryan revealed that participants remain unclothed "mostly all of the time" except during daily welfare visits from production staff, whilst being monitored around the clock by "many cameras" positioned throughout the residence.
He continued: "You tend to forget about them at most points if I'm honest because obviously you get so used to them being there but there's many cameras dotted around the house that's spinning all the time, so you do notice them. They're so clear as well on TV."
The Dreamboys performer expressed gratitude for his family's unwavering backing, particularly regarding his bold career shift and Dating Naked appearance. He shared: "My parents have always been supportive even when I switched from the software company to Dreamboys.
"I told them I had a gig to try and soften the blow a bit, told them I was going on Dating Naked and they were so supportive again.... I think if my mum would've said it's a bit too far I probably wouldn't have went on it."
Beyond utilising his profile to champion ADHD awareness, Ryan hopes to challenge misconceptions surrounding male entertainers and their true characters. He reflected: "Watching the episodes back I really portrayed myself in a good light and how I am genuinely.
"Hopefully that changes the stigma on strippers and how they are generally. I don't think it's what it was back in the day, strippers years ago might have different personality to how they are now and I've portrayed myself as a genuine guy."
