Who is the father of Zoe Slaters baby? The question on every EastEnders fans lips right now as Michelle Ryanmade her epic permanent return to the Square last week. Now, the actress has 'let slip' a huge clue on the NTAs red carpet as she addresses all the theories.

Last week, fans were left in shock when they learnt more about Zoe's past in a flashback episode, which saw her give birth to twins in 2006, a year after leaving the Square. It was assumed her daughter had died, while she 'abandoned' her son, leaving him in the hospital.

Cut to earlier this year, Zoe enlisted the help of a private investigator to find her son, with the help, and funds fromMax Branning, who also made his shock return. Zoe's PI gave her details of an old neighbour, but things took a turn when he tried to assault Zoe. She then hit him over the head with a lamp, believing she had killed him.

Fans are still left wondering who thefather of the twins is, with countless theories floating around X, formerly known as Twitter - and Michelle's seen them all, and say none of them are correct.

Addressing the theories, Michelle told the Mirror on the red carpet: "They're all wrong, I have to say. Sorry, I'm just going to quickly say, if you're putting bets on I'm just letting you know!"

A number of fans believe the father is Zoe's ex Anthony Trueman, who recently made his return to the Square for his father Patrick and Yolande's wedding. Not only that, he saved her life when she was accidentally shot by Jack Branning.

Others believe Den Watts is the father. Zoe had fallen pregnant after sleeping with Den before leaving the show in 2005 but she had an abortion.

When the shock episode aired last week, fans rushed to social media to speculate, as one fan wrote: "Zoe Slater is the mother of twins by Den Watts, and one of them is dead." Another added: "No way she had Den’s baby???? No way right????" A further post read: "Is that Den’s baby?."

But now Michelle has confirmed these theories are wrong - who could the father be?

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
