Emmerdale reveals who Gabby slept with as Vinny betrayal exposed

Gabby Thomas in Emmerdale confessed to cheating on her husband Vinny Dingle during Friday's episode.

The character told her stepmother Laurel Thomas that while they were engaged, she slept with someone else. Feeling guilty about the whole thing, Gabby feared about the truth coming out and wrecking her marriage to Vinny - who is hiding secrets of his own.

Laurel was astounded by her stepdaughter's admission, shocked that she cheated with someone weeks before marrying Vinny. In the scene we found out who she'd slept with or at least some information about their identity.

Gabby explained that it happened while she was in Portugal, with her there on her own. Branding it a "terrible mistake", she told Laurel that it was no one she knew, and that they were unknown to anyone in the village.

Calling them "some randomer in a bar", she hoped no one would ever find out. It was revealed that Gabby's mother Bernice Blackstock did know all about it, given she hinted at knowing Gabby's secret and even tried to stop the wedding.

But can we expect Gabby to be rumbled, and might we meet the mystery person? She told Laurel on Friday: "What I did, I hate myself because every time Vinny does something sweet or kind or caring like he always does, it makes it even worse."

She went on: "When I went away to Portugal alone I did something awful. I slept with some randomer I met in a bar. Just once and it was a mistake. A terrible mistake."

As Laurel pointed out that she was engaged to Vinny at the time, Gabby fumed: "I know! It turns out it's genetic because I'm stupid, selfish and self-sabotaging like my mum. Who knew."

Later in the episode Gabby shared more details, confessing it was a barman. She revealed Bernice did know about it, and had been there at the bar beforehand too, questioning Gabby over whether Vinny was "the one" for her.

Gabby shared to Laurel: "Mum was going on about if Vinny was the one." She revealed they got drunk and the man behind the bar "was charming", alluding to him being the man she slept with.

Laurel then realised this may have been why Bernice was trying to get the wedding called off. She then urged Gabby to be honest with her husband, saying: "If you really love Vinny then you are gonna have to tell him the truth."

Gabby refused and said she'd just pretend it never happened, but will she end up slipping up?
