A family's easyJet holiday was allegedly "ruined" as soon as they arrived at their hotel, and it's not the first time a holiday disaster has been reported recently. A woman exposed people to the horrors that unfolded when she arrived at the hotel inGran Canaria, and the situation left her totally shocked.
The woman, known as house.of.holtom on TikTok, said it wasn't what she expected from an easyJet holiday, which she claims she spent around £4,000 on for two adults and two children. She shared a video of the room online to show what she was dealing with, and Brits have been left gobsmacked at yet another travel drama.
She reported that after spending only 10 minutes in her room, disaster soon struck, as it quickly became clear they had a cockroach problem. Footage of the critters is then shown and they are seen on units and crawling in the bed, leading many people to gasp in horror.

Over the video, she wrote: "Every single time we were in the room, we had to deal with this. In our clothes, beds and everywhere."
As well as having cockroaches in her room, she also claimed they were served frozen food at the restaurant. She admitted it wasn't what she expected from a £4,000 holiday, as they spent six out of nine days in a "cockroach-infested room."
The situation led the family to have "sleepless nights", and she admitted the kids were also left "stressed" by the situation. They worked so hard to enjoy a family holiday, and she said it was totally "ruined" and dubbed the vacation a "holiday from hell."
People have been left stunned after watching the video, and were quick to comment and share their thoughts. Some admitted they'd "cry" if the same happened to them.
One person said: "Gross. Yes, cockroaches can be found abroad but, in that amount, there's an obvious infestation. So sorry your holiday was ruined."
Another wrote: "Omg - that's terrible." A third replied: "Oh my gosh - no way, that's awful. This is so not acceptable."
Meanwhile, a fourth commented: "Omg, hope that's sorted for you. That's disgusting." Someone else had a slightly different view though.
They wrote: "I mean, it's only some bugs, which you get in any hot country - just kill them and keep windows and doors closed. As for the conditions of the hotel, sometimes that yellow stuff on there never comes off no matter how much you clean it.
"No excuse for the shower or anywhere else to be dirty. How much was your hotel?"
When asked to comment on the situation, an easyJet holidays spokesperson said: "We want all of our customers to have brilliant holiday experiences, which is why we work closely with our partners in destination to ensure the hotels we offer meet our high standards."
The hotel has also been asked to comment.
