ITV Good Morning Britain star 'so sad' as they bid farewell after quitting

A Good Morning Britain producer has bid farewell to their colleagues after quitting their job role.

Anna Haines, who worked as a producer on the ITV show, which is hosted by the likes of Susanna Reid, Kate Garraway, and Ed Balls, took to social media to share their job news.

Writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, Anna penned: "Job news...

"Thrilled to announce that from September I'll be producing @bbcquestiontime

"Very sad to leave my amazing colleagues at @ GMB and a huge thank you to the politics team for being so wonderful to work with."

She concluded the post: "DMs are open and I'm around for coffees from September."

Anna's colleagues and friends took to the comment section to wish the political producer well in her new job.

One wrote: "Huge congratulations! You’re going to be amazing."

Another commented: "That’s a brilliant job Anna. Congratulations, you’ll be missed from our room!"

While a third added: "Soooo happy for you and proud of you darling <3 can’t wait to see what you do there! They are very lucky to have you."

"Very exciting, Anna, well done," someone else said.

Good Morning Britain has seen plenty of presenters and stars behind the camera come and go over the years.

In ITV's most recent move, it was reported that US correspondent Noel Phillips is set to leave the breakfast showas part ofthe broadcaster's cost-cutting measures, which aim to slash an additional £15 million from its budget.

In May, ITV unveiled plans to terminate the employment of nearly half of the 450 staff who worked on programmes like Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning, and Loose Women.

While discussions about Noel's position are still underway, it's anticipated that he will be among those departing.
