Kelly Brook has claimed that she was 'manipulated and coerced' into getting engaged to an 'older' ex-boyfriend. The model, 45, was back in her slot on Loose Women and was sitting on the desk on Thursday alongside Kaye Adams, ex-Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse and former EastEnders star Nadia Sawalha when she spoke out about a previous time in her life.
Kelly revealed that she was set to marry a 42-year-old man, who she did not name, when she was 25 years old and that the pair had plans to jet off to Las Vegas to tie the knot, but it all ended in tears. She said: "I got engaged very young. And I felt like I was really kind of manipulated and coerced into something that I wasn't ready for."
The Page Three legend claimed that her former fiancé wanted to 'own' her thanks to his own feelings of 'insecurity', and she felt as if she had to go along with it all.

She added: "That was because of the insecurity on the side of my partner, who thought that this was the way of having me and owning me. And he was a lot older, so I kind of went along as a people pleaser, because sometimes you want to stay with the person, but you're not ready for that kind of commitment.
"So, I went along with it until the very last minute and then went, 'hang on a minute, I'm not ready for this now. The whole situation was wrong."
Kelly then explained she waited until the day she and the man were due to fly before she called the whole thing off, and suddenly had an epiphany as she backed out of the entire plan.
She said: "Oh, the jet was waiting, we were going to Vegas that day,' Kelly said. 'It was like a movie, it was all very dramatic and I was just crying 'I can't do this, my mum's not here!
"It was just horrific. It was the most horrific thing, but we stayed together, and I think he came around to it and understood why." Kelly is now happily married to Jeremy Parisi, whom she appeared on Celebrity Race Around the World with earlier this year, but previously dated stars such as Jason Statham and Billy Zane, both 58, and rugby player Thom Evans, 40.
The admission comes just days after Kelly also candidly explained during another recent appearance on Loose Women that she would often be unfaithful in her early relationships.
She said: "I'm gonna be really honest. I've never said this, and I never really talk about this. For years, I thought I was a serial cheater because I've always been in relationships that were supposed to be monogamous but they never ended up being [that] in the end or during. There was always a third party on one side of it, and it just became what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
When Coleen Nolan asked her to clarify if she would cheat after it had been done to her, Kelly added: "Yeah! It was just like...I'd been..." before one over-enthusiastic audience member shouted out: "You go girl!" Kelly, impressed by the comment, replied: "Don't you think? I think even if they weren't honest about it, you know that it's happening and you think 'Oh well, they're at it, so it's a free-for-all!' and then you just end up in this horrible rut of neither of you really committing properly." But these days has no inclination to be unfaithful because she is so happy and confident in the relationship she has now.
She said: "It wasn't until I met my husband 10 years ago, and I just thought it was gonna be the same sort of situation that I'd always been in, but he was so serious and so focussed. I was like 'Oh!' It made me become the best version of myself in a relationship because I was like 'Oh, I'm not like that!"
"Jeremy and I have literally, we are so focused on each other, neither of us have ever cheated. We've been married three years, together 10 years. We've just come back off a holiday and it feels like we're newlyweds.
"We are so in love! And it just gives me so much hope so I think there's hope out there because honestly, for about two decades, it was a nightmare! It was chaos!"
"I just think I had a couple of cheaty kind of men and that you become that because your vibe attracts your tribe. Until you take a focused look and change your course, you're just gonna keep repeating the same cycle."
