Kobbie Mainoo is still prepared to leave Manchester United - despite holding fresh talks with Ruben Amorim.
Mainoo is desperate to keep his World Cup dream alive and wants to force his way back into the Three Lions star ahead of next summer. Mainoo was a star at Euro 2024, starting in the final against Spain in Berlin, but has been ignored since Thomas Tuchel replaced Gareth Southgate.
Tuchel's decision to look elsewhere has come with Mainoo becoming a frustrated figure at Old Trafford at his lack of action. He has struggled for regular starts under Amorim and his career has gone backwards in the last 12 months. And amid his frustrations, Mainoo remains keen - should things not improve at United - to seal a loan move in the next transfer window.

The 20-year-old has made just four appearances this season and started just one game, United's humiliating Carabao Cup defeat at minnows Grimsby.
Mainoo wanted to depart in the summer as he looks for more regular action, with Amorim having seemingly decided he's in direct competition with club captain Bruno Fernandes for a midfield place. But club bosses rejected his pleas for a loan move.
He accepted the decision and has been working hard to get himself back in favour. But despite United's poor start to the new campaign, Mainoo has discovered that little has changed.
Amorim held private talks with Mainoo last week and was told he is still part of his plans, while being challenged to do more to fight for his place in the team.
While Tuchel has made it clear he will not considering calling Mainoo into his squad until he has secured more minutes on the pitch. Thus, Mainoo has accepted he will have no choice but to request another loan move elsewhere in January, should he still find himself on the fringes of Amorim's team.
Mainoo is desperate to be on the plane for next summer's finals in the USA, Canada and Mexico and he knows there will be no chance of this happening if he continues to be on the outside looking in at United.
