Lady Gaga is set to appear in the sequel to The Devil Wears Prada adding yet another huge production to her acting repertoire.
The Oscar and Grammy winning singer is filming scenes for the movie amid travelling the world on her Mayhem Ball Tour. Following four sold out shows at London's O2 Arena, Gaga was seen in Milan by fans.
Filming for the sequel to the hit 2006 comedy is currently taking place in the Italian city with stars Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci all spotted on set. The Devil Wears Prada 2 is Gaga's next huge Hollywood project following her appearance in Joker: Folie à Deux.

She also had a big cameo role on Netflix ’s Wednesday earlier this year. Gaga is now due to play Stockholm’s Avicii Arena on Sunday night, with the stop in Milan filling a break in her touring schedule.

The Devil Wears Prada was based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel of the same name and tells the story of aspiring journalist Andrea “Andy” Sachs, played by Anne Hathaway, who is hired at glossy fashion magazine Runway. However, she finds herself struggling at the hands of her demanding editor-in-chief, Miranda Priestly, played by Meryl Streep.
The book came after Weisberger briefly worked as Anna Wintour’s assistant at Vogue, with her basing her novel on her experience working in the fashion magazine business.
While no details of the sequel have been released, the storyline reportedly follows Miranda while she attempts to keep her career afloat as traditional magazine publishing goes on the decline in the modern world.
Her former assistant, Emily (Blunt), now works as a high-powered executive in a luxury group and holds the power of millions of dollars in lucrative advertising deals that Miranda desperately needs.
There is no confirmation of how Andrea will fit into the story, with her quitting the fashion magazine business to take a job at a newspaper at the end of the last film, but it seems she may have made a return to the fashion business.

Meryl and Stanley were both recently spotted sat in the front row at the Dolce & Gabbana show during Milan Fashion Week. The oiuting led to a viral moment as Meryl posed alongside Wintour.
Original director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna are returning for the sequel, with the first film's producer Karen Rosenfelt also returning. Newcomers in the iconic movie include Kenneth Branagh, who will play Miranda’s husband, as well as Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Pauline Chalamet and Simone Ashley. Tibor Feldman and Tracie Thoms will also be returning to reprise their roles.
The film is scheduled for release on May 1, 2026, nearly 20 years after the original movie made its debut.
