Liam Gallagher's 'real reason' for skipping Noel's all star Oasis Wembley after party

To mark the end of Oasis' UK tour, Noel Gallagher is said to be throwing a party at his favourite bar. But while several celebrities will be at the event, his brother and bandmate Liam reportedly won't be.

The party follows a sold-out performance at Wembley Arena tonight (27 September). The VIP guest list includes Lady Gaga, Johnny Depp and Matthew McConaughey. The Gallagher brother's children Anais, Lennon and Gene may also be in attendance.

While his brother parties the night away in true rock 'n' roll fashion, Liam is said to be heading off for a dinner with fiancée Debbie Gwyther instead. Some have wondered if his decision to have a low-key night and snub his brother's party is a hint at trouble brewing in the band, but a source has insisted that's not the case.

Rather, Liam doesn't want to risk his voice before the band jets off to South Korea. "Liam and Noel had both been planning to throw a party for the final night of the UK tour but Liam’s decided to have a low-key celebration with Debbie instead.

“They’re planning an early-ish night because he can’t afford to get ill or for his voice to be damaged. Meanwhile, Noel is going all out and throwing a party at his beloved Chiltern Firehouse."

The source added that Noel is very supportive of his brother's decision to stay home, but was looking forward to the party too much to do the same. "He wants Liam to be there but knows so much more is resting on Liam and he needs to take it easy where he can. Noel’s very excited about the do though because it’s at Chiltern, his favourite London hotspot."

Chiltern Firehouse only recently reopened its doors to guests. In February, the venue had to shut down after a fire destroyed it. But, after rebuilding, the lobby was opened to a select group of celebrities and friends at the start of London Fashion Week, including Kate Moss and Madonna.

Noel was reportedly "devastated" by the fire and wanted to throw a party there as soon as it was possible to do so again. "He was devastated when it burnt down last year and even spoke about that on stage.

"He told them he wanted to throw a party as soon as they were back up and running and this is the perfect opportunity. There will be catering and unlimited Supersonic cocktails.”

In July, Noel made his feelings about the Firehouse fire abundantly clear, as during his concert, he dedicated Don't Look Back In Anger to the club. "There have been many tragedies, including the plague, the great fire and the blitz," he said. "This year there was a tragedy greater than all of them combined, which is my favourite bar - the Firehouse - f***ing burnt down."

The end of the tour has coincided with details being released about an upcoming Oasis film. The film is set to include "phenomenal" footage of Liam and Noel's reunion after years of animosity. Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is producing the documentary. His crew were allowed inside the meetings and rehearsal rooms when Liam and Noel discussed the possible comeback and then began working together again. The result is a rich fly-on-the-wall insight, including mobile phone video as well as sit-down interviews.

An insider said: “The footage and access given to Steven and his team is phenomenal. Liam and Noel have never been seen in such an open and vulnerable way. This is much greater than a ‘let’s do it for the money’ comeback. It centres on deep-seated emotions – jealousy, ill-will, anger – and then a deep desire for reconciliation.
