Man Utd fans make Ruben Amorim feelings clear as same message shared on Sunderland clash

Manchester Unitedsupporters are together in their belief that Ruben Amorim should be shown the door if the Reds fail to secure a victory against Sunderland this Saturday. The Reds are hoping to clinch just their third win of the season against the Black Cats following last weekend's disappointing 3-1 defeat at Brentford.

Amorim had been optimistic that the 2-1 triumph over Chelsea could mark a turning point, but the Reds were brought back down to earth with a loss at the Gtech Community Stadium.

After six matches, United find themselves in 14th place in the Premier League table with a mere seven points from a possible 18.

This is identical to their tally at this stage last season - a total that ultimately led to Erik ten Hag being sacked and replaced by Amorim as the club's new head coach.

United fans are now hoping that Amorim will face the same fate as Ten Hag if the Reds fail to overcome Sunderland at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

This sentiment was expressed in response to a post on United's Instagram account, which previewed the club's next match with the caption: "A chance to right the wrongs of the weekend [flexed bicep emoji and red circle emoji].

In the comments section of United's post, numerous fans expressed their frustration with Amorim and called for the board to take action if Saturday's result does not yield three points.

One said: "If we don't win, he has to go." Another wrote: "With Amorim.. we loseee everyweek.. sack Amorim & kick out Bruno."

A third claimed: "Amorim OUT." And a fourth said: "If United lose this match Amorim should leave."

A fifth admitted: "Get out!!!!!!!!" While another wrote: "Amorim last match."

"I kinda hope we lose so Amorim is gone," a seventh put. And another said: "Please boys let's lose, Amorim needs to go."

Looking ahead to his team's clash against Sunderland in his pre-match press conference on Friday, Amorim conceded he is bracing for a "really tough match".

The Black Cats have hit the ground running since their return to the Premier League, notching up three wins and two draws from their six matches.

"It's going to be a really tough match, they are doing really well," Amorim acknowledged. "And then, when you see the games, they draw with one less player in the final [moments] of the game, they draw, [get] one point, and then they win in the final play against Brentford, [to get] another three points.

"I think the details are changing the table a lot, so we need to pay attention to that. It's a team that plays really well, it's a clear 4-3-3 system with a lot of rotations in the side of the pitch.

"They are confident and they know that we are going to be under pressure and we need to be able to play with that and we are prepared for a tough, tough match."
