Mel B pestering Spice Girls bandmates for tour details after surprise project

Send Push

Just like millions around the world, Melanie Brown MBE wants a Spice Girls reunion. The singer revealed that she 'loves" badgering her former bandmates about a reunion tour, not long after a surprise collaboration together was announced.

Mel, dubbed Scary Spice, was featured in a TikTok on Monday (15 September) where she listed a bunch of things she loved to do. She said: "Unfortunately, I do love dressing like it's the 90s, putting evil eye stickers on everything, asking the Spice group when we are going on tour, meditating every day, singing Wannabe rap to anyone who will listen, watching 'how to get rid of a body documentaries, hoovering at 2am."

She captioned the video: "Yep I really do!!" Plenty of fans agreed that a Spice Girls comeback was needed. One said: "Here for the Spice Girls group tour. And asking every year for the next 50 years."

Another went on to write: "Asking for a tour is necessary and every 90s kid is asking the same." "I cannot thank you, Mel C and Emma for keeping the spice dream alive for us," said a third. Meanwhile, a fourth excited fan penned: "You are the only one with power to reunite the group, Goddess of Goddesses! We love you!"

The video was posted shortly after Mel, along with her Spice Girls bandmates, Melanie C, Geri Horner, Victoria Beckham and Emma Bunton, announced they had teamed up with the England women's rugby team to create a range of Red Roses products adorned with the Spice Girls' Girl Power slogan.

In a joint statement, the iconic group said: "We are excited to partner with the Red Roses in supporting women's sport, particularly as this year for the first time in history there will be a female president of the RFU - that's incredible Girl Power!

"We hope the whole country will join us in cheering on the team at the Rugby World Cup, as they build on their great start."

The statement was made last week and the range will include a jersey, track jacket and bomber, T-shirts, hoodies and accessories, as well as a limited edition Spice Girls rugby ball.

A Spice Girls reunion is so hoped for that fans are almost always asking when it will happen. Back in April, it was claimed that the group would reunite for their 30th anniversary, as Geri, Emma and both Mels were said to have met in Miami to discuss the details of a world tour. It would have been just the four of them, as Victoria was rumoured to be "90% out of the running".

A source close to Geri said: "There have been rumours swirling for months, but Geri has always been too busy and had other things on, preventing her from saying yes.

"Nothing is yet confirmed but Geri and Simon [Fuller, the group's former band manager] are back in touch with a myriad of exciting ideas."
