Oasis fans reckon new album is on the way as they want one thing from Live '25 tour

Fans are hoping the Gallagher brothers' Live '25 tour continues into 2026 - and there's reason to be hopeful, according to dedicated listeners. Oasis' lucrative reunion tour kicked off earlier this year, delighting those who managed to get their hands on the coveted tickets. While the band's manager has said the tour is a one-off, some fans believe Noel and Liam could make a return to the stage next year.

A hopeful post to the r/Oasis Reddit page saw fans discuss the likelihood of a studio return for the band after a source close to the band hinted the tour could keep going. Photographer Kevin Cummins hopes the band are here to stay, and fans are also crossing their fingers.

A post to the forum had fans asking whether a new album could also be on the way from the band, with many of their contemporaries from their 1990s heyday having recently released comeback tracks.

Oasis fans are remaining hopeful the Gallagher brothers will follow in the footsteps of Blur, Pulp, and Suede by putting out new material for the first time since Dig Out Your Soul in 2008.

One fan asked: "New Oasis album soon? Wonder if this is truthful." Another replied: "Certainly would love a new album.

"Never heard Noel write anything that was a waste of my time and his most recent penned album Council Skies was sensational so anything he would add to the mighty Oasis discography would be as well."

A third shared: "I’m obviously not opposed to a new album but integrating new songs into their live set could cause a stir. So many of us still starved after all these years to hear what we’ve been listening to on our own for decades."

After sharing his hopes that Noel and Liam could continue to tour, Cummins clarified he had no insider knowledge - and is simply keen to see the Gallaghers on stage next year. In a post to Instagram, he wrote: "My take on it was that I thought it’d be great if they played more shows next year.

"I also said if they played the Etihad, they could fill it every night of the year. I’ve no ‘insider knowledge’. I just know I’d like to hear them do some new songs next year and play at Man City."

Some agreed with Cummins and expressed hope songwriter Noel may have been working on new material from the road.

One fan suggested: "Noel will be feeling the most inspired he has felt since the 90s during this tour.

"He is a songwriter and the absolute euphoria and nostalgia he must be feeling whilst performing to the world with his previously estranged brother will be the biggest dose of inspiration you could ask for.

"He will have been writing since Cardiff (on top of any material he wrote prior). Mark my words, Oasis will release a new album."

Another agreed, adding: "I think it’s almost inevitable that Noel has a backlog by now, and I’d personally love to hear it, regardless of whether it’s universally loved by fans. It’ll be a smash. Bring it on."

Oasis have made no suggestion that their tour will continue beyond its scheduled last show on November 23, 2025, at Estádio do Morumbi in São Paulo, Brazil. They have also not commented on the possibility of new material.
