Prince William has opened up on the "hardest year of his life" in a rare TV appearance. The Prince of Wales joined Canadian comedian and actor Eugene Levy on his new show The Reluctant Traveller, as Levy travels to London for a taste of royalty.
A new clip of the programme, which will premiere on Apple TV on October 3, has been released and shows Levy meeting Prince William on the grounds of Windsor Castle.
After receiving a handwritten letter from William, the Schitt's Creek star is given a personal tour of the royal residence by the future King, with William joking: "We provide this service for everyone. We do personalised tours everywhere," before the pair enjoy a walk around the estate.

After their tour, William and Eugene head to the local pub for a pint, where the Prince of Wales candidly speaks about the difficulties he and his family have faced over the last 12 months, in reference to King Charles and Princess Kate both being diagnosed with cancer within weeks of each other.
In the emotional clip, William admits: "I'd say 2024 was the hardest year I've ever had. You know, life is sent to test us as well, and being able to overcome that is what makes us who we are."
The future king's comments echoed a similar sentiment he made late last year, as he spoke about his wife and father's cancer battles while on a solo trip to South Africa in November.
In an incredibly honest interview, William praised the bravery of Kate and Charles, while admitting their health battles had been hard on the whole family. He said at the time: "Honestly? It's been dreadful. It's probably been the hardest year in my life."
"So, trying to get through everything else and keep everything on track has been really difficult. But I'm so proud of my wife, I'm proud of my father, for handling the things that they have done. But from a personal family point of view, it's been brutal."
During his trip, William admitted his duties had been a place of solace amid such testing times, as he said he had struggled with the balance of home and work life. He revealed: "I couldn't be less relaxed this year. It's more a case of just crack on and you've got to keep going. I enjoy my work and I enjoy pacing myself and keeping sure that I have got time for my family too."

Eugene Levy's show The Reluctant Traveller follows the Canadian actor as he sets out to discover what the "ultimate travel bucket list" is all about, seeing him travel around Canada and the US, as well as Austria, England, India, Ireland, Mexico and South Korea.
Other guests included in the series are Canadian singer Michael Buble, Eugene's daughter and fellow Schitt's Creek actor Sarah Levy, K-pop boy band NOWZ and former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid.
