One of Manchester's poshest new eateries has issued a fresh appeal to patrons using its lavatories - following a frenzy to snap pictures in what have been dubbed "the best loos in the city".

The Cut and Craft steak and champagne establishment launched in the historic former Manchester and Salford Bank building on Mosley Street in April this year following a major £3.5million transformation.

Management revealed a stunning dining area in the former bank hall, whilst the bank vaults in the basement were converted with opulent toilets.

The ladies' facilities feature a massive mirror ideal for selfies, plus a beautifying zone with makeup stools and perfectly lit mirrors.

During the glittering launch event, celebrities and influencers were spotted queueing for snaps inside the washrooms.

Their appeal has persisted ever since at the eatery as guests scramble for their own mirror selfie opportunity in the luxurious surroundings.

However, the facilities have become such a sought-after destination that management have now implemented a time limit - requesting women hurry up in the toilets.

Notices have been erected outside the women's facilities requesting a time restriction of merely five minutes inside, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The framed notice begins by declaring "Polite Notice" before you enter the door to the washrooms.

It continues to declare in block capitals: "We're delighted you're enjoying our beautifully designed spaces. To ensure all of our guests have timely access to our restrooms, we kindly ask that visits be limited to 5 minutes."

It doesn't seem to be a problem at the gents' loos though - where there's currently no notice or time restriction.

Management have stood by the sign, insisting the time limit is essential in helping the eatery meet its safety regulations.

Darioush Shahidi, Operations Director said: "We're thrilled that our beautifully designed restrooms have captured so much attention online - and it's wonderful to see guests enjoy and photographing the space.

"The little sign we've added is simply about making sure everyone can access the facilities when they need them, while also keeping in line with our fire safety and evacuation procedures.

"Given our lower ground floor layout - which includes a private dining room In the original vault for up to 45 guests plus staff - having an additional 10-15 people gathered in the restrooms at once could pose a risk in the event of an evacuation.

"The polite sign we've introduced simply ensure timely access for all guests whilst also aligning with our fire safety and evacuation procedures.

"We want everyone to enjoy the space, whilst prioritising guest comfort and safety for all."

The eatery, renowned for its steaks and fine wines, has quickly established itself as a go-to spot on the Manchester restaurant scene since launching in April. The restaurant has been set up in a grand banking hall, boasting 27-foot-high ceilings, intricate cornicing, and vast arched windows.

This is the third venture from the company, which has already seen great success with its first two sites in Leeds and York under their "accessible luxury" brand.

Just last week, the restaurant humorously commented on the popularity of its toilets in Manchester, sharing a video of the bathroom on Instagram with the caption: "AT THIS POINT, WE'RE THINKING OF ADDING THE BATHROOM TO THE MENU..

"But trust us, you'll actually want to see the lunch menu - Two course for £22, three for £27 and yes, it tastes even better than your mirror selfies look."
