Danny Dyer's comedy Mr Bigstuffis set to return for a third series after the actor won a Bafta for his role.

The show follows bolshy Lee (EastEnders star Danny), who has a prescription drug addiction, and his timid brother Glen (Ryan Sampson) and has made a splash with its first two series. And now Sky has confirmed that fans will get to see more of Lee's escapades as another season is on its way.

So far there aren't many details about the third run, but as the news was announced at the Edinburgh TV Festival, viewers were promised "more heart, humour, and chaos".

Set in suburban Essex, Mr Bigstuff started in July 2024 and its second season dropped this summer. The show has been a huge hit with audiences, becoming Sky Max’s highest-rated new original comedy in three years.

Earlier this year Danny, who is best known as Albert Square's Mick Carter, clinched the coveted Best Male Performance in a Comedy gong at the Bafta TV Awards.

The 48-year-old appeared to be taken aback as his name was announced. "What a touch! Comedy performance. It's like my acting was so bad it was funny!" "F****** hell, I am choked up," he admitted in his acceptance speech, before apologising for swearing as the audience roared with laughter.

Sky announced several more projects at the festival, including an eight-part series focusing on Gemma Collins as she sets her sights on marrying partner Rami Hawash and becoming a mum.

With a working title of Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby, the series is set to air in 2026. It will follow the star for a year as she plans her big day and shares her hopes of having a baby through IVF.

“This really is the most important year of my life, and for the first time people will get to see the Gemma behind the GC," said the former TOWIE star. "Over the next year I will be planning my wedding and beginning the steps into starting a family.

“I’ve always felt natural in front of the cameras, but now I want to let the world see the real raw me sharing the most intimate and personal times in my life. I feel ready to truly open up, not just about the present, but about my past and everything I’ve been through to become the woman I am today. I feel truly blessed and excited for everyone to come with me on this new chapter of my life.”

Other upcoming programmes include WAR, a legal thriller starring Dominic West and Sienna Miller, and The Good Daughter, a thriller starring Meghann Fahy and Rose Byrne which is set to air next year.

Gangs of London is returning with a fourth series and later this year viewers can enjoy Drinks with Dame Judi, which will see screen legend Judi Dench open up about her life and career to close friend Sir Kenneth Branagh in a one-off special filmed at her stunning country home.
