Taylor Swift's new album, The Life of a Showgirl, marks her first release following the stratospheric success of her Eras Tourand fans can't wait to snap it up.
The announcement was made on the singer's official website after a mysterious timer appeared and began a countdown to 00:12 ET (05:12 UK time). A brief clip also went up online which showed the Bad Blood billionaire pulling a copy of the album from a briefcase with the cover blurred.
The singer has predictably kept all the details about the music for the album under wraps, but has teased some tantalising titbits, which she's rumoured to expand on when she appears on the August 13 episode of New Heights, hosted by her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason. So, as the star, who was recently slammed by her ex Matty Healy's mother-in-law, Denise Welch, sends Swifties into frenzy with all her mysterious messaging about her album, here's all we know about The Life of a Showgirl...

While the official cover art has yet to be revealed, it is currently shown as an orange glitter lock on a greenish background on Taylor's website.
It seems likely that orange will feature prominently in the artwork because the singer was seen sitting in front of several books with the colour in the podcast with Jason.
The collection featuring the works of modernist and neo-expressionist artists Jean-Michel Basquiat, Marc Chagall and Ruth Asawa, as well as abstract painter Mark Rothko.
A silver microphone and football could also be seen in the background.
Cryptic countdownTheories about the album erupted after the New Heights podcast with Travis and Jasion teased the episode with an orange backdrop instead of its usual yellow and a silhouetted guest image matching Taylor's profile from a past Variety interview.
In a preview of the podcast, Taylor tells the siblings she wanted to show them something as she lifts up a briefcase with an orange T.S embossed on it before she brings out a blurred object, saying: "This is my brand new album" - prompting Jason to squeal with excitement.
Around the same time as the podcast tease, Taylor's official marketing arm, Taylor Nation, posted a 12-slide carousel of red-orange outfits from her Eras Tour, captioned, "Thinking about when she said, ‘See you next era…’"
Adding fuel to the speculation, the singer's website launched a glittery orange countdown to 12:12 a.m. ET on Aug. 12 — a nod, fans believe, to her upcoming 12th studio album.
The details of the album's sound and track list is still under wraps, although the title itself gives a vibe of a glamorous album.
Taylor is famously known her candid storytelling through her songs and albums, in which she pours her heart out and leaves no ex unmentioned.
The Life of a Showgirl follows The Tortured Poets Department, which was released last year and which broke the Spotify record for being the most-streamed album in a day.
Release dateIt is not yet known when The Life of a Showgirl will be released, but Taylor's website confirmed orders will be sent out before 13 October.
Fans in the US Fans who want to secure a copy of the album can pre-order directly through Taylor Swift's official store at store.taylorswift.com.
There is already a huge queue for the album, which is available in vinyl, cassette, plus a CD and poster edition.
