Wayne Rooney has revealed he’s “fuming” that his wife, Coleen, no longer irons his clothes which is a chore she used to handle daily before the couple had their four sons.
The former Manchester United star, 39, opened up about domestic life on The Wayne Rooney Show podcast, describing how, before parenthood, Coleen, also 39, would lay out his outfits each night, ironed and ready for the morning.
“Before we had kids, Coleen used to leave me clothes out the night before. So, every day, yeah… She'd put my clothes out, ironed and ready for me to put on the next morning,” Wayne shared.
“I know and then now I've got to get up and get my own clothes, I’m fuming. No, but yeah… Obviously now with kids…”
Co-host Kelly Cates teased him: “Every day? I need someone to do that for me. Shouldn’t have had four kids really, should you? Because she'd probably still be doing it now."

Wayne confirmed that Coleen now makes that effort for the children. “She does it obviously now with the kids. She does it for all the kids now the night before and stuff. Yeah.”
The couple’s four sons, Kai, Klay, Kit, and Cass, have certainly changed the dynamics of family life.
Wayne and Coleen, who were childhood sweethearts from Croxteth, Liverpool, have been married for 17 years.

The loved-up pair often share candid insights into their parenting routines and household routines, balancing work and family life.
During the podcast, Wayne also recalled a surreal evening spent with friends David and Victoria Beckham, joined by Frank Lampard and a few other players.
“We were like, ‘this is weird, what’s happening here?’ Had a walk around and I open a door and his eldest boy, Brooklyn, I bumped his head and he started crying and I thought, ‘oh Jesus Christ.’”
Asked whether the dinner was formal or posh, Wayne laughed: “No. We were having kebabs. He’s obviously a great lad and Victoria’s such a lovely woman and they’re funny. A lot funnier than people would think.”
Between raising their four sons, attending to football commitments, and enjoying occasional celebrity dinners, Wayne admits life is busier than ever.
Yet, the former striker’s reflections show a playful side, poking fun at the loss of his pre-parenthood luxuries. “I’m fuming,” he said, “but it’s part of life now. She’s busy with the kids, and I’ve got to sort myself out. It is what it is.”
