Maruti Suzuki has made the Celerio even more affordable, giving buyers a festive reason to consider this compact hatchback. While it may not be India’s top-selling hatchback, the Celerio appeals to buyers who want a small, budget-friendly car with more features than the entry-level Alto K10. Following the GST rate changes, Maruti has reduced prices across its Celerio lineup, with the base LXi variant receiving the highest discount of ₹94,000. The top-end ZXi Plus MT variant got a price reduction of ₹59,000.
Price reductions vary by gearbox and variant. Manual gearbox variants now cost ₹59,000 to ₹94,000 less, while AMT variants have been reduced by ₹66,000 to ₹89,000, depending on the trim. These revisions make the Celerio one of the most affordable small cars in its segment, potentially boosting sales in the coming months.
Features and colors. The updated Celerio comes with a modern design and several new features. Customers can choose from seven exterior colors: Speedy Blue, Glistening Gray, Arctic White, Silky Silver, Solid Fire Red, Caffeine Brown, and Pearl Bluish Black.
Engine and mileage. Powering the Celerio is a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine, with a pre-installed CNG kit available on select variants. The petrol engine delivers 25.24–26.68 km/l, while the CNG version offers up to 34.43 km/kg, making it a fuel-efficient choice for city commuters.
With this significant price cut, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio becomes an even more attractive, budget-friendly hatchback, offering efficiency, practicality, and choice for small car buyers.
