Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reacted to the ongoing Gen-G protests in Nepal. PM Modi has written a post about this on X in which he has expressed grief over the situation in Nepal. Let us tell you that Tuesday was the second day of the protest and on this day the protesters created a lot of ruckus. 22 people have died and the government has also been overthrown. While KP Sharma Oli has resigned from the post of Prime Minister, many other ministers have also resigned from their posts.
PM Modi appealed for peace
PM Modi wrote on Twitter, 'On returning from Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, the Cabinet Committee on Security today discussed the developments in Nepal. The violence in Nepal is heartbreaking. I am saddened that many youths have lost their lives. The stability, peace and prosperity of Nepal is of utmost importance to us. I humbly appeal to all the brothers and sisters of Nepal to support peace.' PM Modi has also tweeted in the Nepali language.

Amid the unrest, Nepal's army and senior security officials have issued a joint appeal, calling for restraint and dialogue the only way to restore stability. The army vowed to protect the country's independence, sovereignty and the lives and property of citizens while keeping an eye on Gen Ji's activities.
Foreign Ministry advisory
Amid the increasing violence in Nepal, India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Tuesday issued a security advisory for Indian citizens amid the ongoing unrest in Nepal. Along with this, Indians in the country have been urged to stay indoors, avoid going out on the streets and exercise extreme caution. The Ministry of External Affairs has also advised to follow the local security instructions issued by the Nepalese authorities and stay updated through the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu. The advice further said that Indian citizens should postpone travel to Nepal until the situation stabilizes.
