Celebrity Traitors fans were left up in arms after they spotted a huge blunder when Tom Daley was 'murdered' by the Traitors. On Wednesday night (October 15), fans bid farewell to YouTuber Niko Omilana when he became the first contestant to be banished from the castle. But minutes later, another Faithful bit the dust when the Olympic swimmer was escorted into the Diary Room where he was given the death note.
But viewers have pointed out a fatal error in killing the beloved sportsman, who could have easily taken the heat off of the real Traitors: Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross, and Cat Burns. Taking to X - formerly known as Twitter - one user penned: "Killing Tom when people thought he was a Traitor is kinda dumb".
Another agreed: "I think picking Tom Daley was a mistake. Some of the celebs thought he was a Traitor" as a third echoed: "Tom wuold have been great at the tasks. He was already under suspicion of being a Traitor. Big shocker!"
The obvious error came at the worst time for Team Traitors after Ruth Codd confronted Jonathan Ross for going back on their day-one pact to defend each other at the round table. She noted: "He kind of stabbed Niko in the back in there, and I've no doubt that that dagger is going straight in my back, probably sometime soon as well."
Fans flooded to social media to share their support for the Scottish actress online, with one hailing her the "unexpected icon of the series". Another gushed: "Truly obsessed with Ruth, but she's gonna be the next person to beef with Kate".
When it came to the next round table, both Alan and Jonathan received some heat from the Faithfuls, with the Masked Dancer star struggling to come up with much of a response when confronted. When asked if Jonathan could kill Paloma, he admitted: "Well, I would have the metal to kill Paloma, but I don't know what else to say to you other than I'm not a Faithful."

Returning to social media, viewers predicted that the BBC show could be over too soon, following all the backlash at the round table. One user penned: "Haha, they've figured out all three Traitors but none of them are going to do it," as another agreed: "All the Traitors getting called out already?"
A third fumed: "They've clocked all of the Traitors and they probably won't banish any of them", as a fourth chuckled: "Jonathan Ross getting before Alan Carr wasn't on my 2025 bingo card."
At the end of the episode, Tameka was banished from the castle after receiving three votes, with the rest of the cast divided between Celia, Jonathan, Stephen, and Kate. Before she left the castle, she declared: "It has been really lovely meeting all of you. I'm just a bit stunned if I'm honest, I am a Faithful."
Celebrity Traitors airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9pm on BBC One or catch up on BBC iPlayer.
