The latest instalment of Come Dine With Me descended into chaos after one contestant accidentally hurled a drink over fellow diners.
Channel 4's culinary competition has made a comeback for a special week celebrating its 20th anniversary, featuring a group of teenagers competing to prepare sophisticated dishes for one another in pursuit of the £1,000 prize.
Footage from the teen series of the cooking show reveals Ben, Aminah, Lettie, Zach and Alex relaxing with drinks in a garden, when Lettie joked that anyone disliking their beverage could dispose of it elsewhere.
"If you don't like it, you can chuck it over the fence," she quipped.
However, Ben appeared to take the suggestion at face value, suddenly lobbing his drink over the fence, with the liquid splashing across Lettie and fellow contestant Aminah, reports the Mirror.
"Oh my God I am so sorry!" he exclaimed, whilst the girls surveyed their drenched clothing and hair in disbelief.
"I didn't realise the forecast was going to be wet with a bit of aperitif," joked Aminah, whilst Lettie bemoaned the drink being in her hair.
"Oh, my God, I actually feel so bad," admitted Ben. "Are you OK?!" he asked. "I'm so sorry."
Speaking afterwards in a piece to camera, he said: "I actually genuinely felt so bad for throwing that drink."
Further memorable moments from the series, filmed in and around Manchester, featured the teenagers grappling with ingredients such as chickpeas and puzzling over how to operate the oven.
During one amusing dinner party exchange, two guests revealed they had never eaten soup before.
"I have been a very picky eater about soup because I think it is just the way it is a liquid for me, so it doesn't really seem like a food," confessed Zach.
Come Dine With Me, narrated by Dave Lamb, launched in 2005 and has proven immensely popular with audiences. Throughout its run, the programme has produced numerous series alongside spin-offs including Celebrity Come Dine With Me and Come Dine With Me: The Professionals.
