Another Coronation Street youngster has been recast for the fifth time - and fans might recognise the latest actor to take on the role of Harry Platt, Sarah's son. After Lucy Fallon returned to ITV Soapland as Bethany Platt, her little brother Harry is also back on-screen - but the last actor to play him, Carter-J Murphy, was nowhere to be seen.

Harry has actually been played by seven actors so far - first as a baby, when he was played by Woody Illsley and twins Pixie and Presley Sellars. The role was taken over by Freddie and Isaac Rhodes from 2017 until 2024, when Carter-J stepped in to play the youngster.

Now, though, he has been replaced by Joshua Leavy, who made his first appearance on Monday (October 20).

Joshua has a link to his on-screen mum Sarah, played by Tina O'Brien - as they attended the same acting school. A source told The Sun: "He's already been filming on set for a few months. He went to Tina O'Brien's acting school so he already knows her."

Joshua has appeared on Corrie before, playing Finn Chambers - the son of Sarah's friend Lydia - in 2021. He has also starred in rival Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.

He isn't the first character to be recast in 2025, as Lily Platt - daughter of David and Shona - was also replaced after nine years in July.

Brooke Malonie had played the role since 2016, but now Lily is played by Grace Ashcroft-Gardner as she takes on more hard-hitting storylines.

Footballer James Bailey was also recast earlier this year. Originally played by Nathan Graham, Jason Callender has now taken on the role for James' return to the cobbles.
