Emmerdale legend makes surprise return with bombshell admission

Emmerdale viewers were left stunned after Vinny Dingle (played by Bradley Johnson) and Gabby Thomas' (Rosie Bentham) wedding planning saw the return of a beloved character. While fretting about the ceremony's table plan and admitting, "My side's still looking empty," Kim Tate (Claire King) appeared at the Woolpack, walking into their conversation. Highlighting the businesswoman's arrival, Laurel Thomas (Rosie Bentham) remarked, "Not for long." However, Kim appeared to drop a major bombshell, adding to Gabby's stress.

Gabby was shocked to see Kim and exclaimed: "You're back!" and proceeded to probe into why she hadn't confirmed her attendance at the wedding. To which the Home Farm owner revealed: "There's a reason for that, I'm not coming." While Gabby was left in shock, viewers also took to social media to comment on Kim's grand entrance. As one thrilled fan stated: "Welcome back Kim! We really missed you!" A second remarked: "Kim's back and straight away told Gabby she's not going to her wedding."

"So great to have Kim back on the show where she belongs. You can't blame Kim for being frosty with Gabby as she went behind her back about the deal to Moira," said another.

A fourth echoed: "Kim's back and straight away told Gabby she's not going to her wedding. #Emmerdale."

While one fan remarked: "Wtf did Gabby expect from Kim? a thank you? Gabby did the right thing & now Kim's not going to her wedding surprise surprise."

As another fumed: "Why have they made Kim into an arsehole and siding with Mr Dubai? Old Kim would never."

Justifying her reasons, Kim told Gabby: "Why would I celebrate with someone who betrayed me? Joe told me everything, Gabby, squealing to Moira, ruining our business arrangement."

To which Gabby, hit back: "You were trying to rip her off."

Kim's return comes after she told Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) in July that she was going to Dubai to wrap up her remaining business and wanted him to secure the Sugden farmland while she was gone.

In addition to telling Moira and Cain Dingle about the farm, Kim was also adamant about not attending the wedding, as Gabby is marrying into the Dingle family, and she proved her loyalty to their family.

As Gabby stormed off, Kim was forced to be on hand and support Laurel after she unexpectedly injured her ankle by tripping over a stall. Laurel then used Kim's concern as an opportunity for some innocent emotional blackmail and told Kim that Gabby loves her and that it would really mean the world if she attended the wedding.
