Benjamin Sesko can become better than Erling Haaland and will quickly prove it in the Premier League, according to the Manchester United-bound striker's old coach. United are in advanced talks with RB Leipzig after offering a £74million package and agreeing personal terms on a contract until 2030 with Sesko.
The Red Devils look to have beaten Newcastle United to his signature after Ruben Amorim identified a striker as his next priority. Sesko will complete an attacking overhaul worth over £210m after the arrivals of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo earlier this summer.
United's poor track record after signing young forwards from overseas has sparked anxiety over the prospect of another big-money flop.
Rasmus Hojlund is the latest example after his £72m arrival from Atalanta in 2022. Jadon Sancho and Antony have also failed to make it in recent years.
However, Mirsad Mujakic, who coached Sesko when he played for NK Krsko's Under-15s, has shrugged off suggestions that the Slovenian will become another addition to the graveyard.
"His potential is unlimited. I believe he can be even better than [Erling] Haaland because he is such a hard worker," Mujakic told the Daily Mail.

"He will do everything and more to succeed. That's why I think he will quickly show in England why he is among the best strikers in the world."
He added: "We all understand what the English league means across the world, that it is the best league in the world and that the smallest details make all the difference.
"That's why I think he's the right person for the Premier League with his work ethic and his lifestyle. Anyone who doubts his quality will change their mind after just a few games."
United will hope to add Sesko to Amorim's squad in good time before the Premier League season kicks off next weekend.

The M16 giants require a fast start to shake off the cobwebs from a disastrous 2024/25 campaign, but face a daunting early set of fixtures.
Arsenal visit Old Trafford on the opening weekend, with tests against Chelsea and Manchester City included in the following four matches.
United have targeted Premier League-proven players like Cunha and Mbeumo in the hope that they will make an instant impact.
Sesko is under similar pressure, but he has been strongly backed to overcome it and become a success in Manchester.
