Queen Camilla unveiled a glittering new addition to her jewellery collection this week, after being presented with a brooch from President Donald Trump during his whirlwind 48-hour state visit to the UK. The tradition of gift exchanges has long been a hallmark of state visits, symbolising goodwill and strengthening ties between nations.

For the Trumps' stay, which saw them based at Windsor Castle, the exchange was one of several ceremonial moments woven into a programme steeped in pageantry. The King and Queen welcomed the US President and First Lady, Melania Trump, alongside senior royals, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, before leading them through a full calendar of events.

From a horse-drawn carriage procession through Windsor's private estate to a lavish state banquet inside the castle's grand halls, the visit combined pomp with diplomacy.

The trip concluded at Chequers on Thursday afternoon, where Trump joined Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer for a joint political press conference.

During the state visit, Queen Camilla received a new jewel that will be added to her stunning collection - a striking floral inspired brooch from Tiffany and Co. The glittering design featured leaf structure with four rubies surrounding a central diamond and it is worth a jaw dropping five figure sum.

Jewellery expert Maxwell Stone of Steven Stone exclusively told the Daily Express he estimated its value at around £30,000.

He shared, "The brooch is a floral-inspired design, featuring layered gold leaves radiating outward. At its centre, there are four rubies surrounding a central diamond, forming a striking cluster. The piece has a textured, almost sculptural quality to the gold, which gives depth and dimension to the leaves," the jeweller continued.

Stone added: "Judging by its design, it has a mid-20th-century style, possibly from the 1950s-1970s, when naturalistic floral brooches in yellow gold with gemstone accents were very fashionable."

Camilla wasted no time in showcasing the gift, wearing it soon after receiving it a gesture Stone noted as "a thoughtful sign of gratitude and respect."

The piece's naturalistic design, with its mix of rubies and diamonds, adds both colour and history to the Queen's evolving jewellery repertoire.

By debuting the brooch so prominently, Camilla not only underscored the symbolism of state gifts but also added a personal note of diplomacy to the pageantry of the Trumps' historic visit.
