Good Morning Britain halted for migrant update as fans fume 'Load of rubbish!'

Fans of Good Morning Britain were not pleased with an update on the migrant crisis on Tuesday's episode. The ITV show, with a segment hosted by Ranvir Singh, shared that the first migrants to be returned to France under the Government's "one in one out" deal with the French Government are expected to fly out of the UK later this morning.

However, in a less-than-impressive update, it was explained that it is not clear how many people will be on the flight or how many further flights are planned this week, but there are reports that the plan has already failed to get off the ground. Ranvir asked news correspondent Jonathan Swain why the government is so "tight-lipped around numbers and when these flights might go". The senior correspondent replied to say that there is "a lot of sensitivity around this". He added: "We are saying that these flights are expected to take off today, but that may not be the case."

He went on to add that it has been widely reported this morning that some migrants were actually removed from a deportation flight to France yesterday at the very last moment "because of a legal challenge".
